You may have heard that David and Juliet Espiner, owners of Whangarei Chartered Accountants “Business Advice Limited”, have left the accounting profession to devote their energies an exciting soon-to-be-launched venture (see below).
ElevateCA Limited are pleased to accept David and Juliet’s invitation to pick up the baton in providing the quality business development and Chartered Accounting services that their clients are accustomed to receiving.
We look forward to working hard alongside Business Advice Limited’s clients and their established team of professional advisors. And we wish David and Juliet all the very best in their new venture.
Here are answers to some of the questions which have arisen during this transition.
Is this a sudden occurrence?
No. Planning for this transition has been in progress for some time. A public announcement has been delayed until now so all clients could be properly and personally informed of the changes. Almost all of Business Advice Limited’s clients have chosen to engage Elevate CA. These are a leading who’s who of local business, and we look forward to working with these good people and their established team of professional advisors to add further value to their businesses.
Why did David and Juliet select Elevate CA as the preferred Accounting business?
David explains the decision to select Elevate CA like this:
“Of all the accounting firms, Elevate CA stood out the most and we believe they are the best firm to take care of our clients in the future with their combination of skills, diversity, proactivity and entrepreneurial focus – coupled with their strong philosophy of customer service and value. Believe me, we have not taken this decision lightly – we had a wish list for the kind of firm able to provide our clients with a higher level of service and expertise”.
Thank you David, kind words! Be assured we will work hard to live up to this recommendation and to ensure that all clients – and their professional teams including solicitors and bankers – receive the fantastic level of service they have become accustomed to.
Will Elevate CA be up to speed and able to work seamlessly with the other professionals on the clients’ team?
Yes. We have received full electronic and paper files for each client who has engaged Elevate CA – along with a full briefing from David and Juliet. We will continue to liaise closely with David and Juliet over the coming months to ensure that any historical queries can be resolved quickly without cost to clients. This level of co-operation is rare in a normal change-of-accountants situation.
What about the Business Advice Limited team?
We are pleased to announce that Hayley Lenihan has joined the team at Elevate CA as an Accountant. Hayley was previously a key part of the Business Advice team, and she will be instrumental in providing a seamless transition for David and Juliet’s former clients into the Elevate CA fold. We plan to add further to our team in the next few months so we can continue to provide excellent service during this rapid growth.
Will accounting fees increase?
The pricing philosophy of the two firms is very similar – not the cheapest in town, but definitely not expensive compared with others. Both firms have a focus on charging for value actually delivered rather than the traditional practice of sending a bill in the mail based on the number of six minute units of time spent on the job.
Where are the Elevate CA offices and where will I park?
Elevate CA are situated in the heart of Whangarei’s CBD – at level four, 35 Robert Street. Parking can be an issue around lunch time, but click here for some tips to make it easy.
How about Elevate CA’s existing clients?
Our established loyal clients – and those who have joined us more recently – are very important to us. Although this change will accelerate our already rapid growth, we are as focussed as ever on maintaining the excellent service that our existing clients enjoy. If anything, this growth is giving us a larger critical mass which will ultimately benefit all the businesses who we work closely with. We pride ourselves on being very accessible – all our clients have the direct dial numbers for the three directors, and if we’re not available immediately a returned call is never far away. This is a big part of our ethos, and will not change.
So what are David and Juliet doing now?
David and Juliet have exited the Chartered Accounting profession to develop a new business called “Secret Service”. Secret Service will use hidden systems to deliver unforgettable customer service. These systems obtain customer intelligence and utilise it to personalise the customer experience – and take a serious look at the most important number a business can track; customer retention.
We are excited for David and Juliet, and we look forward to seeing them making a success of their new venture. And we warmly welcome their former clients into the Elevate CA fold.
