Well this has been a big week for events in the ElevateCA camp. Wednesday evening was the kick off function for the Northland Business Excellence Awards at Salut in Whangarei, then on Thursday we were fully involved in organising and presenting at the Business Owners Forum at The ICEHOUSE in Parnell, Auckland. And yesterday late afternoon of course it was Loud Shirt Day at the ElevateCA offices in support of The Hearing House and the Southern Cochlear Implant Paediatric Programme.
These two charities are dedicated to enabling deaf children with a cochlear implant to listen and speak like their hearing peers.
Thank you to all those who came along in support of this cause after work yesterday. There were some serious fashion crimes occurring in the ElevateCA space – but I won’t embarrass the overall winner of the Loudest Shirt award on the night, nor the one or two who stood out and were fined for not sporting loud shirts!
Everyone enjoyed the refreshments courtesy of ElevateCA – and gave generously into the kitty towards the cause. Our treasurer – Dean Subritzky – hasn’t totted up the donations yet, but the jar is stuffed full of notes so this will have been a worthwhile excercise for the The Hearing House and the Southern Cochlear Implant Paediatric Programme.
This has been a worthwhile week with three varied events, but thankfully there is nothing on our events horizon until the next Business Owners’ Forum on 14 October. So back to full productivity and business as usual until then.
